Meet Ghene’t

POSTPARTUM DOULA

Ghene’t (she/her) discovered the doula profession as a young mother. After years of working in early childhood education and supporting families through every stage of development, she found her true calling in postpartum care. She now specializes in overnight support, offering gentle newborn care, feeding assistance, and emotional reassurance to ensure both babies and parents feel nurtured and well-supported.

Ghene’t is a graduate student at Seton HIll University and holds a B.A. in Cognitive Studies, with a focus on brain development and learning from birth through geriatric stages. She has completed graduate coursework in Integrated Neuroscience and is a trained DONA Postpartum Doula, as well as a trained teacher and Health and Nutrition Coach. She is the author of the bestselling postpartum support book Nature Immersion for Postpartum Healing.

Whether families need a full night’s rest or guidance through nighttime feedings, Ghene’t creates a calm, non-intrusive environment tailored to their specific needs. One of her favorite things to hear from parents is: “I fell asleep and woke up, and it was morning!”

Her passion lies in helping families during this sacred transition. “My work with children and families has shown me the vital importance of emotional health, not just for babies, but for mothers, partners, and siblings. Everyone needs time. Siblings need one-on-one moments with their parents. Babies need round-the-clock care. Moms need deep rest and recovery. And parents need time to reconnect.”

Ghene’t strives to be a peaceful, grounding presence—relieving stress and allowing families the space to bond, heal, and grow.

When she’s not supporting families, you’ll find her hiking, spending time with her children, or writing.
