Meet Kaitlin
BIRTH DOULA
Kaitlin's (she/her) journey into birth work began at just 13 years old, when she attended the birth of her one and only younger sister. That powerful and formative experience sparked a lifelong interest in maternal health and birth support, which has now grown into a professional calling.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University, with a concentration in Human Development and a minor in African American Studies. Her academic background in Black studies deepened her understanding of systemic inequities and sharpened her commitment to birth justice—particularly in advocating for and empowering Black birthing people. Kaitlin is passionate about being part of the solution to help reduce maternal health disparities and ensure every client feels seen, respected, and supported throughout their birthing journey.
With a professional background that spans development coordination, nonprofit fundraising, and client-centered service, Kaitlin is known for her empathetic listening, clear communication, and strong relationship-building—skills that are central to her work as a doula.

We can’t say enough good things about our experience with our postpartum doulas, Brayta and Courtney.
The majority of our time was spent with our overnight doula, Brayta. She was a godsend—literally the reason I’ve made it through motherhood. This was our first child, and Brayta helped support me through long nights, frustrating nursing sessions, milk spills, all of it. Her patience and kindness were truly a blessing. She not only supported my journey as a mother but also took wonderful care of our baby.
