Meet Natalie
BIRTH DOULA
Natalie (she/her) was born at home just outside of St. Louis, MO weighing in at 10 lbs and measuring 23 in long and, because her mom was such a natural birth advocate, she grew up hearing her birth story more times than she could count. She also dealt with grief at a young age do to the death of her father and witnessed her mother working hard to raise three children on her own. At the end of a long day she would take off her mother's shoes and rub her feet to relieve the tension. Natalie saw how good it made her feel and knew she wanted to make others feel the same way. After graduating from NHI’s massage school in 2011 and working in Los Angeles she moved to Nashville in 2012 and set out to invest in the growing community.
After completing her BBA at Lipscomb University, she launched her business, Natalie's Office Spa in Green Hills offering corporate wellness, massage therapy and spa treatments. In 2018, she transitioned her business to mobile appointments as she focused on her pregnancy and becoming educated in the birth field.
On the day before Christmas Eve, Natalie gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in her living room with only the soft light from the Christmas tree. His gender was a surprise and he was born in what she calls her "private jacuzzi" tub. Her husband was an incredible partner and she was so thankful to be supported by her birth team.
Natalie was so inspired by her experience she took the advice of her doula friends and, after training with Blissful Birthing, she joined the birth world. She has loved serving others through prenatal massage, home births, hospital/OR births, postpartum support, birth photography, prayer and helping families deal with loss.
She could not be more amazed by what the body can do. Witnessing birth is like witnessing a beautiful miracle that is unique in every way. Each pregnancy and child brought into the world is so special. She hopes that she can help create a space that removes fear and fosters learning. No matter how a birthing person gives birth, Natalie wants them to feel loved on.
Natalie and her husband, Matthew, have a son named James Rocco. They also have their first "baby" Lyla Belle who was adopted as a pup and a German Shepherd named Nala.

”Having Natalie as our doula changed my confidence in having an unmedicated birth. From the earlier stages - to meetings on understanding my & my partner’s dynamic, to discovering how we wanted the room/energy/words of encouragement to be/feel like - everything felt super seamless and personal. Natalie is warm and incredibly easy to be around, while also being knowledgeable and equipped to be a a helpful support system. As a first time mom that endured 36 hours of unmedicated labor, I could not have done it without Natalie. She offered position suggestions and changes when they were needed the most, strong and meaningful words of encouragement, and massages/touch-points to offer counter pressure and alleviate pain. She made me feel powerful and capable. Answering questions as they came, fixing my breathing and leading me through the most intense contractions. Acting not just as a support for me, but also my partner - checking in on his wellbeing and involving him in the entire process; it left him feeling extremely confident in his role and able to support me through the journey. Natalie was a part of our family during labor and will remain that way to us. Thank you, Natalie. Do not hesitate. You will be grateful to have her on your side!”
